Replacing the Power Steering Pump
Tomorrow I am going to replace the power steering pump on my GSX. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to make things go as smoothly as possible?
Also, could some DSM guru tell me what PS pump will work on what year model and engine? for example, the junk yard pulled a PS pump from a (they say) 1990 eclipse, however that pump doesnt match up with the one i have in MY 1990 eclipse. i suspect they pulled it from a 1.8L, even though i told them 2.0L. This is a working example of why they should let you pull the parts yourself. alas, i digress, what pumps are interchangeable between 1g cars?
