If after numerous (three I believe my husband said as he was reading this thread to me last night) years, and multiple children, and no rock on her finger... you would think she would get the hint that the car means more and she needs to learn to stfu. Our current arrangement works that, once...
Nope, not us. We own an orange Eclipse, and *had* two black talons, but have downsized to one.I think Clint has to do inventory or something that day, but is going to be wrapping up around 12. Maybe I can talk him into taking HIS car and letting me take it down the track before he sells it...
Had a great time today guys. Was great to be in a Talon again after being "mommy-mobile" bound since May. Glad we could pull out a 14.15, and glad everyone else did great, too. Hope to see you all again soon.Kat
My husband and I will be going. Leaving Maryland Friday morning and leaving Nashville Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately he won't have the Talon together in time so we'll be driving our Mazda. We're meeting up with about 8 other friends from Indiana.
Oh and on the topic of 75/80, I have heard that their whole timing system has been down. So 75/80 seems to be a bust this year. It does appear that the weather will be staying nice for this weekend, with a slight cool down. Any one interested in heading to Mason-Dixon this weekend? Nothing...
I know of a 2ga turbo that has been sitting for as long as I can remember, let me know if your interested and I can tell you exactly where it is.You do some pretty amazing work. Any chance you would just do a paint job for someone? :sneaky:
You boys look lonely. Perhaps we could arrange some kind of get together. You can add our 3 2g's to the census. As Clint (squeak104) said we just recently moved to Hagerstown, but I'm origianlly from Mount Airy, and I dragged him here from Jasper, IN. Just let either one of us know if you get...
Yea, that sounds like a waste. My husband got lucky and paid $5, yes FIVE dollars for his HX35. It was factory rebuilt by Cummins too. If your ever near the diesel warranty department of Jasper Engines, stop in and see what they have hiding in their scrap-metal heap. All engines that come in get...
Hmmm.... cell phone (that was most likely free, or less than $300) or car and life? That's always a tough one. Normally my response to my cell phone's attempts to escape goes something like "Oh yea?! That's how it's going to be?!" and we have a moment of silence. Shame you made a bad decision...
Well, if I can talk the hubby into it, we will be there, possibly with both our cars (if I can talk him into that as well). You can't miss us though, I'll be the one looking like I swallowed the whole watermelon patch, climbing out of a beat looking black TSI, and he'll be the one whose head...
Well we haven't been out anywhere yet due to a spring shortage of funds. But if anyone is interested in buying my spare DSM.... maybe the track could be a possibility :sneaky:
Yea if you keep going.... north/east(?) down Edgewood... we are a little less than a mile down the road. We've been taking rt 40 to work on a daily basis and they seem to be going about business as usual.
The track has for sure been open for a few weekends, I try to take rt. 40 as often as possible on the weekends to scope it out. It is supposed to be warm and dry for the rest of the week and into the weekend... and someone (squeak104) should be off all weekend. If anyone needs us to scout it...
I personally haven't been to Mason Dixon so I don't know about the wet box problem. We live about 5 minutes from there now so hopefully we can check it out this weekend or next and see whats up with that. May sounds great for us as well, just warm enough for both my cars to appreciate a trip...
I just downloaded their schedule.... it does appear they have test and tune this Sunday...10/25 Sunday 11:00 am 12-5 pm Test & Tune - Open to All; OPDSRight off their site. So how do we get a hold of them to confirm, I tried the hotline. IF this is true, any takers?
My husband (Squeak104) and myself will be out rain or shine. Will be bringing my full FACTORY 95 TSi AWD. If anyone has never witnessed one in person I suggest you get a peek as it's not staying this way for much longer. Anyone else planning on showing up in the rain?
I know right... that's where the real loss of good men happens. Not like I'm any less psycho than the rest of the women in the world but I am way cooler. After all i do drive an AWD TSI. Ding Ding Ding.
Uh yea... really I'm sure Clint has things better than most guys. After all I don't "allow" him to do anything... he's spoiled and he knows it. We have, oh I don't know... 4 DSM's, 3 more than most guys could even dream of having. I do my best to keep his dreams alive... he's the one under the...
I dont know personally but I have heard that some people prefer the 6 bolt non-turbo and the lack of oil squirters due to them holding oil pressure fairly well. I'd look into it more but depending on where you are I could get you one for fairly cheap. A friend of a friend has a few spares in his...
there is no differnece between a first generation and a second generation then the ones you chose to be important. a difference in looks... your opinion as to which you like, performance... yours yet again. there are ups and downs to all years yet its like a paint pallet, if you feel that you...
all i can say is im sorry about your situation... but beating her wont change the fact that shes insane but women snap for a reason. messing with ANYONES car is messed up. btw... i hope you know WOMEN can read too. and that was completely out of line. granted i would kill someone too for messing...
as for this being a good deal... no. 6 grand is a bit much for a car. and just for you men... FEMALES ARE NOT ANY NICER TO THEIR CARS THEN YOU ARE. chances are that things werent kept as tiddy as you think and it doesnt matter whether shes 16 or 75... regular oil changes may have been...
please correct me if im wrong... but if your car is cranking but not starting then pressure shoud be building up already. and i do believe that normally to build up oil pressure you would simply remove the starter relay, crank it for a few seconds, replace the relay to its proper position and...
alright... first off wtf is wrong with your friend. if i were ever to pressure my BOYFRIEND... not fiance, or husband... into selling his car PLEASE SHOOT ME. the car sounds nice but like everyone is saying... not quite worth it. i personally prefer to mod my cars myself. not buy modded. now...
well i bought my 97 gst with around 118k miles on it for a whooping 6500usd... it ran good for a week or so, then developed a rod knock and at the two week marker... almost exactly, it blew a chunk outta piston #1... maryland has lemon laws so i could have sued the SOB who sold me the car and...
