* Timing covers I want to look into, likely injection molded to be safe but Billets an option with design changes. when removing the 1G version you got to flex the thing to get it out in the bay so as it is wont work being billet.
* rear calipers are slow but I'm about to start up again as i got a lot of bits for these to restart.
* tanks are quite a big thing and doing a stock version would require a huge press tool but something close that can be folded is an option to look into
* sending units I have wanted to look into for some time now, even on the 2G I wanted to address the issue of stock hangers being a problem

Iim kinda surprised we haven't seen 3d timing belt covers yet

Well its possible but the issue is normal FDM printers create lines and they crack on them lines. Mine did from Rix so i opted not to use it for safety reasons.

its possible to use other forms of printing but the size is large and they work on volume used as a whole so even the gaps inside are paid for which add's up real fast! so by then your quite a bit of money for a printed one and while can take the heat they wont be as flexible though so the best investment is making them as OEM that will last 20+ years vs say 5. plus making new injection ones from more modern plastics can be way better for lifespan and non cracking/more flexability

Somebody argued with me about billet covers and I told them it wouldn't work unless you want to pull the motor at every timing belt. Still didn't believe me.

maybe that was me LOL I had a discussion once on billet ones. no idea who it was though as i do my discussion and then i go to work to work on projects and then it becomes a thing to work on haha

on the 7 bolt its fine but the 6 bolt won't be due to the flex you need to put on it for install and remove. 7 bolt can be done without any flexing. i modified my mid cover and timing studs to now allow it to go on without flexing also as it was a bugger before. it helps a lot more this way. but options are available in the redesign path. the 6 bolt can also be made into a 2 piece design as its really needed for ease for the people working on them.

With the covers, you'd just make a design you feel is the best option, your call but there's market. I'm one of the few people who bought one of the last OEM covers from Amayama, sitting in my basement, and installed a new one 16 months ago so these are gone. You make 1 piece, 2 piece etc but something is better than $400+ for an OEM.

What happened to your 1g rear 4 piston calipers?

@Car Cannibal for the covers I will eventually get to them, i got all new 7 bolt ones for this reason.

as for the calipers on the 1G rear. I ended up getting busy in other areas then I had to give my borrowed rear arms back so I lost a lot of development time there. The calipers went back and forth to get a good handbrake design we liked and have something now that's going to offer more strength in that section. I got arms now and hub so the project will be able to start up once again soon and if all works out ok with cables and how to do that also Then a trial set will be made and tested out. once approved They can then go for release.

With Canada's RTM leaving the community, there's a new player to come in with a billet fuel sending unit, dual pump option but with an aftermarket float assembly that'll work vs our discontinued one.

Believe me, I just spent thousands to have a Corrolla float custom assembly installed and I would've rather ditched my RTM and gone with something else. Our float assemblies are zombies and having a future option for factory dash and aftermarket computer recognition would be great. Market is yours on that one, sender and new float with option for maybe digital laser etc.

modern wont work as it relies on volts vs ohms, i have a volt level in my 2G but its a custom digital display as i could not get it to work on the stock gauge, a converter maybe possible but I'm not a wiring pro so no idea if that's even possible or I'm just thinking everything possible haha

I want to do the 2G AWD first as I can get my hands on one of those and then look into a good off the shelf float that's bolt on and replaceable easily. once that's done then i will of course jump onto the 1G chassis.

ALOT to do but i only got so much time, money for research and developments any any 1 time. I wish i could do more faster and such but for a 1 man band I'm already doing quite a lot for us all. Im plodding along at a pace I can cope with right now.. until some magic with funding comes up each part takes their turn getting done and developed
