Because he can.
16g's weren't.
So? Designed that way or not you can still run it without coolant lines. Close friends of mine have thousands of miles on their 16g's and 20g's with no coolant lines installed. A turbo timer has it's use.
I cannot see a single logical reason to not run the water lines. They are ther for a reason and while you could probably get away with it, as others have it just seems like a dumb thing to do with a part that is vital to the over all power train. It's designed for water, give it water.
I guess im not a noob. Makes sense to use the water lines since the FACTORY put it on there. Thats like saying "hey, lets not use the turbo EVEN THOUGH the factory put it on there."
Get it? Good luck
Turbo Timer + changing oil more frequently than needed = more money
Water Lines + NOT changing oil more frequently = less money
Any more Questions?
Plus is it THAT much cooler to Not run Water Lines?? Because if it is, im going to remove mine right now in the parking lot.

Listen, you guys are blowing this shit way out of proportion. The OP asked a simple question and guess what? We gave him a simple answer. My 16g is water fed right now so it's not like I have a vendetta against hooking up the water lines. I'm done.

technically you could be but why not just buy new lines? they aren't that expensive and you'll have the confidence your turbo will last as long as it's supposed to.
