starter issue....

okay when i turn the key i hear the starter relay click but nothing else happens. i also tried to leave the key in the on position and run a wire from the sylinoid to the battery to see what it would do and it cranked up. so im thinking it has a dead wire somewhere. anyone have any info on how to check this out?

sounds like clutch switch, unplug it and see if it starts.

so if its bad and i unplug it, it should start?

i unplugged it and still no start.

the guy who i bought the car from didnt even have the starter relay pulgged in! i found the relay in the backseat floorboard .i plugged it in and she cranked right up
