Hi everyone, I rarely use this site but i really do need help, I have A 1997 gsx and I am having MAJOR trouble installing an HID kit in my spider projector headlight/halo headlights, and installing the headlight in my gsx, please help??

Also, If anyone can tell me how to do the same for my oem 1997 gsx FOG lights? How to instal an hid kit in the oem fog lights and installing them in my car?? Because i know im gonna have to improvise once the HID kit is installed in the fog lights? Any help would REALLY be appreciated, I have no headlights or fog lights so I can't drive at night, I know you're all BUSY with the holidays, but any help would be much appreciated, thank you, and happy holidays

I've got 8000k hid's in my Spyder Halo smoked headlights and yellow led's in my fog lights. Here's what they look like. Like above poster, what installation issues are you having? Install was pretty straight forward.

First off, thank you for the reply. Well, 1) the oem headlights I had, they had the main plug in the bottom of the headlight that connects to car, the spider headlights do not have that that's where I'm a little confused.

2) the wiring of the HID kit to the spider headlight and to the car (with the oem headlights, it was pretty much straight forward) I know I'm going to have to do some splicing and re-wiring and I feel comfortable with that, I just don't know where to start.

3) choosing the right colored wires I'm going to have to be splicing into.

I think that's about it, for some strange reason I can't figure this out.

Pictures and descriptions would he SUPER helpful, thank you for the reply and anything helps :) have a happy new year :)

By the way, you're headlights look AWSOME! That's exactly what I want

Thanks. I didn't take pictures of when I did my install but basically you have a red and black on each headlight for the halo, those tie into your side marker Iights. You have to use the wiring off your stock lights for your high beam and low beam.
The plug on the bottom of your stock lights gets pulled off the bracket and then remove the high and low beam wiring associated with it.
There are three wires on the plug that plugs into your wiring harness plug (a green, a red and a black). The green is low beam, the red is high beam and the black is a common ground. You'll have to cut off the plugs to your old bulb sockets and splice them onto your new bulb sockets. Green/black into the low beam bulb socket and red/black into high beam socket. Then it becomes plug and play. Does that make sense so far?

Here's a picture. At the bottom of the pic you'll see a 3 wire plug with a red, black and green. One end is going to the main wiring harness. The other end is the stock wiring removed from the stock headlights. The green/black (low beam) goes to the hid wiring and the red/black (high beams) goes to the Spyder headlights (I don't have hid high beams). Inside the Spyder headlights are the stock plugs I removed from the stock bulb sockets that I spliced into the new bulb sockets.

Man thank you SO much Noah, I haven't tried it yet but I will a little later today. I'll keep you updated:)
