I have a slight bit of oil in mine as well. Its whatever manages to make it past the cam journal. Thats the reason that 3 bolt plate is on the housing with a gasket. Should be perfectly fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

yeah but there is a lot of oil :/ i cleaned it and after a 15min drive there was oil like pic shows .
after like 2h of driving its little more oil in there :/
is it normal ??
and there should be some kind of o-ring or not ??

thx a lot for help guys :D

Nope. There is no o-ring for 2g CAS's only 1g's have o-rings on the CAS....

Just use some rtv sealant to make a seal.....But just to let you know I think some oil should be in there....I have my motor fully built all new gaskets and rtv gaskits etc...and I have oil in mine....I figure its to lube up the bolt and metal braket that the bolt goes through....After all cams do spin like 4 times fater than what the motor spins....

I have this very problem except mine is a lot worse. Mine is leaking out of the sensor, down the head, onto the IM, and on the block. It's getting everywhere.

I have a 1g head with a 2g block. I have the supposed o-ring labeled for install for this, but don't know where it goes. I'm going to look into my FSM for the answer to that, but I've never seen a CAS leak this bad.

O-ring sent by JNZ to fix the leak:

Shop manual only calls for RTV to the head side. I couldn't find anything in the FSM about CAS removal and installation, or the CAS requiring an o-ring. Page 9A-29.

That o-ring is for the electrical part of the sensor (the black piece you are holding in your third picture), to seal it with the sensor support bracket/housing.

Ah, so otherwise oil is supposed to be in there and just not take a shit all over my head and block. I see.

:(

I still need it to seal.

Looks to me that the sealing job on the sensor just wasnt good enough before. Clean the flanges of old silicone, then use acetone on them, replace the old gasket, put new black silicone where its required and reinstall and you should be good in your case.

The only place I can see where the oil can come from is the channel groove you can see leading up and into the CAS. I'm not saying I can't take the CAS apart and replace the o-ring, or remove and replace the RTV, but how is that going to fix it leaking out all over my head/block? I assume the gasket for the 3 bolt cover is supposed to help seal things from getting inside, but how is it supposed to stop oil under pressure? I imagine it's being shoved up there under boost.

The oil only leaked from inside the CAS housing, and from there it leaked out the 3 bolt cover and down onto the head and the block (tranny and everything else). It wasn't/isn't leaking from the backside of the CAS -> head area. So, to answer your question PEP, it's leaking at the 3 bolt cover, not behind the CAS/head area.
