1g/2g. 5spd AWD starters same?

Are the starters the same, because I found out I am using a 1g currently from the previous owner.

They are all pretty much the same from 90-99. There might be a superseded number from the factory but everything calls for the same part number from 90-99.

In other words, they are interchangeble .

BTW, even AWD Eagle Summit/Mitsu Expo, use the same starter!

The only difference,is a FWD or AWD flywheel. They're not interchangeable. The starters are all the same.

What about auto starter? Are they the same as 5 speed starters..The 1g alternators are not the same, 5speed/auto..
