I'm assuming you have a 1G from your profile picture, you didn't say anywhere. Here is a picture of my 1G engine bay, please excuse the quality, but you get the idea. My fuel pressure regulator is mounted on the firewall next to the clutch master cylinder reservoir. My car is probably a bad...
+1 on removing all the old sealer, I mean technically you could just lay the new sealer down on the section that's missing, but know that it's just a matter of time before the rest of the old sealer starts failing on you too.
I don't know how it is where you live, but where I live, it gets so hot in the summers and for most of the year really, that I would probably never own a car with black leather interior.
Installing a good resonator such as the Vibrant Ultra Quiet or Bottle Style resonator before the muffler will help out tremendously in canceling out those obnoxious frequencies that result in rasp and drone.
Yeah, rule books can be confusing huh. My advice would be to go to wherever you plan on racing the car and asking the tech officials there, the people who actually tech the car are probably the best ones to ask.
Welcome and yes, that's the first thing I would do too. Otherwise, seems like a solid car. Good luck with your parts, where there's a will, there's a way.
I was in the same boat a few months back, trying to decide if I should get the porting on the FP. I was leaning towards yes, but then I came across a ported Evo3 manifold for super cheap and had to jump on it. I know the FP flows better than the Evo3, but in my case, I just needed something to...
Yeah, totally not a good thread to post this in.How old are the spark plug wires? I would check/replace those.
Also, what gap did you set the spark plugs at? Our cars are very sensitive to spark plug gaps.
The house I live in has no garage so a car cover was an absolute must for me, I had no problem paying money for a quality cover because it just made perfect sense for me. I went with the custom fit Covercraft NOAH, cost around $270. It fits like a glove, tailored to the body lines of the car...
I've used Dayco brand on other parts on other cars before and they seem to be a decent alternative to OEM. However, there are certain particular parts that I will only trust OEM. Personally, on a crank pulley, I would use OEM, or upgrade to better quality, but that's just me. You could probably...
Depends how deep a hole you're filling, filler depth should never exceed 1/4" MAX.But yes, I've used filler on painted wheels to fix cosmetic issues before, just make sure the surface you're applying to is sanded/scuffed/cleaned properly, especially in this case, since the wheel will be...
I don't see why this would be a problem.Only thing I would recommend is try to be as detailed as you can whenever you post or ask a question. Try to get as much info as you can from your cousin and the car beforehand.
Welcome and try not to get too frustrated during those down times. It's happened to me before with this car, and all I can say is just stick through it and keep going, it will be OK.
Thermostat might not be opening/closing like it should. Also, you might have an air pocket in the system, I would flush the system and replace with new coolant, and then continue diagnosing from there.
Another Black Cherry Silver Bottom '91 here. I included a pic of when I first bought the car. The other pic is a current one, as you can see I have since painted it Midnight Purple though.
Cool sounding idea man, I hope you do it. The only thing I would consider is that a matte clearcoat requires just a bit more care and maintenance than a normal glossy clearcoat to keep it looking great for years to come. Check this out from PPG:General Care and Maintenance of Matte Finishes...
You can't go wrong with black wheels. That's probably why everyone paints their wheels black, because it just works (aesthetically). In the end, the only opinion that really matters is your own though.
If you take your lock cylinder to a locksmith/keymaker, they should be able to make you a new key.I bought an Integra that had been theft recovered, good thing was I bought the car for cheap, bad thing was it came with no keys and damaged lock cylinders. So I installed a used lock cylinder set...
Also, you might check for anything that may be interfering with moving parts. I've had mine get stuck on the back edge of the bumper, or the bottom part of the plastic trim surround on the headlight.
Just an update in case anybody was wondering: I was able to get in contact with Jon through his e-mail ([email protected]), it turns out they are just super duper busy, but the e-mail is in fact working, and my previous delivery failure to them was actually my fault (apparently replying to the...
Does anybody have a way to get a hold of Jon at TRE? E-mail ([email protected]) is coming back to me as a delivery failure, and phone (269-382-2669) is not getting answered and he's got a full voicemail box. It's just weird because he did actually reply to my e-mail 3-weeks ago, saying he had...
