+1 on removing all the old sealer, I mean technically you could just lay the new sealer down on the section that's missing, but know that it's just a matter of time before the rest of the old sealer starts failing on you too.

I don't know how it is where you live, but where I live, it gets so hot in the summers and for most of the year really, that I would probably never own a car with black leather interior.

Installing a good resonator such as the Vibrant Ultra Quiet or Bottle Style resonator before the muffler will help out tremendously in canceling out those obnoxious frequencies that result in rasp and drone.

Are your fans coming on when they should?

Thermostat might not be opening/closing like it should. Also, you might have an air pocket in the system, I would flush the system and replace with new coolant, and then continue diagnosing from there.

You can't go wrong with black wheels. That's probably why everyone paints their wheels black, because it just works (aesthetically). In the end, the only opinion that really matters is your own though.
