Hi everyone, before I get into the car let me tell you a little about my car history. I've had two civic projects ( ef hatch, and a 57trim eg hatch), stage two 1.8t jetta, rallycross hyundai tiburon, 1952 ford customline with a flat head 8 (father son project), And constantly worked with my father on his 68 chevelle drag car making 800hp. I love all types of racing, and drag, autocross and rallycross as often as possible. I'm also soon going to start work on building a stage rally car, and want to try and compete in under 3 years.

Now for the talon. Haven't gotten the car yet, but worked out a deal for a 91 talon tsi fwd in ok shape. I've always loved dsm's, but was never able to find one I liked at a reasonable price. I wasn't really looking for a fwd one but, I'm getting a price that I couldn't pass up. I'n not really sure what I want to do with iy just yet. I may just keep t fwd and work on it from there.

If I decide against keeping it fwd, I have a few ideas. Find an awd shell and swap the engine and anything else missing. Turn the current car into awd, ( I weld and i'm quite mechanically inclined),don't really want to take this option due to all the time/work needed. Or, fix the car and sell her, and get an awd car.

Finding a DSM that is all ready AWD will be your cheapest/easiest option for sure. So I would go that route, as the money could be spend elsewhere for fun parts and maintenance.

Sounds like you have a lot going on, car wise. Cool stuff. :thumb:
