Hey dsm guys, Haven't been here for awhile! I used to have a 99 eclipse gsx, Loved the car but had routine problems with and ended up trading for a sc300. Stupid trade i know but at the time i was thinking mini supra =)
Anyhow after lots of thought thinking about grabbing another awd dsm and doing it right this time. My old car we upgraded to a big16g that was ported polished etc. Never got bigger injectors on it so we never got the potential out of the turbo. I also had a 2010 mazdaspeed 3. Maxed the car out on the turbo made around 330 or so on e85. Very fun car but alot to gamble with having a warranty! Now i've got a bmw 335i with a simple programmer and intake combo. I guess it makes around 340 or lower to the wheels. auto and boring but nice car to cruise for sure!
Enough about the past onto the present and what will be !! my friends have some serious cars atm and i have to run with the big dog's! That being said one has a GT500 and will be making around 650 this summer! Another has a 03 cobra and i would assume he will be right at the 500 mark also. So you ask wtf are you thinking trying to run with these guys?
Build plans are pretty dang simple -
hx40
big enough injectors to push it so 1200cc?
full exhaust, cam's, stock piston's and rod's and bottom end!
arp headstuds and dsmlink to tune it with. btw prob gonna run e85 when i turn the wick up.
Stock bottom end/rods/pistons until i blow the motor
. Then going with a gt42r or bigger don't care about spool time. This is going to be a roll racing SOB. I've actually got a guy who is pretty local who can tune/build dsm's and he has a couple customer cars that are in the 9's so i feel pretty confident that this will be a nice car with good build quality!
However i've got to find the car which i don't care if it's a talon or eclipse but has to be a 2g. Would like to start out with a running car that doesn't need alot of work or lightly modded. I know that's probley a stretch but will see how it goes. Definitely AWD i don't hate on your fwd guys but my play days are over. Hope you guys have enjoyed the read and any hate or help send it my way.
