New To Japanese Cars

Greetings,
I have been a VW owner for 10 years, I lost my 2001 Jetta 1.8t to a terrible body shop (long story). I have a 98 ellipse GS, I just have a few questions. Is this forum only for the turbo version, also the engine is a 2.4 liter and not sure what the engine code is (not sure if I worded that right).

Thanks

1. These are not japanese cars
2. The only way its a 2.4L is if you have a spyder GS ( unless you have a stroked 420a )

The site is for n/t and turbo cars

Welcome to the site!

I haven't done anything to the car, my sister bought it used and sold it to me. There are no badges on the car, all I really do know is that its a 2.0L non turbo, sry my fault. I saw 420A and 4G63, not sure what I should be looking under for info about the engine I have.

You've got a 420A. Turbo motors are 4G63.

VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions

1000 Already Answered Questions - Index page

Both of those will help you out.

You'll want to use the 420a subforums and the general newbie forum here for the majority of your questions.

As mentioned, our cars are not thoroughbred Japanese cars. They're more mutts than anything. Welcome to the club.
