Welcome holyman_70!

I think that both the 1G and 2G are great cars, but both require some TLC to get the most performance and reliability from. I have owned a 1gen RX7, several M3's and an M5, and I have had more fun and learned more from buying and restoring my 1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD than all the others combined! You can get a tremendous amount of performance for a reasonable investment with these car's. Extensive research and advice from those that you discover are highly knowledgeable is the key to the journey, at least that has been my experience so far.

If you want to learn some of the basics about the differences between these car's, I would recommend that you take a look at the tech section of this site. There is a smörgåsbord of info in that tech section! The degree of knowledge here on this site, certainly for the most part is outstanding!

I wish you all the best in your quest!
