When is the next price drop ps3/360, and can u play ps 1/2 games on all ps3 or is it just the 60 gig version?

PS3 can save ps1/2 games on the hard drive with no xtra memory cards?
Has any one over heated a ps3 yet?

They only say then because that is the same time span for the ps2 price drop .

I have a Launch PS3 and have to say its awesome. It has never overheat on me and I played for a constant 10 hours before. If the PS3 is about to overheat it will shut itself off and you just have to wait till it cools down before playing again.

The 60gb/80gb/20gb both have backward compatibility. The 60gb/20gb use hardware for b/c and 80gb use a software for b/c.

You create a virtual memory card for the ps1/2 to save games on the ps3. Also all ps1/ps2 games get upscaled on the PS3 which looks very nice.

Online gaming is free and there are also store updates every Thursday.

You can also connect your PSP to the PS3. The PS3 also got codec so you can play .avi video files and a few more.

You can also do Media share where you connect the PS3 with your home computer (if you have wireless on your computer) which allow the PS3 to view any photo/videos/music that is on your computer.

Web surfing is easy also and I have used it and it is nicely done and speed is determine by your internet connection.

No clue when we'll see a price drop on a PS3, but honestly I hope its not anytime soon seeing as how I just shelled out for one last Thursday. I'll be really mad if it drops in price right after I bought one.

On a lighter note, I think it was money well spent seeing as how Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is now out. Just an awesome game.. the new in cockpit driving view makes you feel like you're really behind the wheel. I'm very happy with my purchase.
