I just read somewhere that you can't play this game online. I know it has LAN but guessing that's not the same?!?!? Have to get some guys over and hook up together or something? Please tell me I'll be able to play online!!! It's the only reason I bought the game and when I have a cable modem here soon, it's been the #1 thing I've been wanting to do and I've been spending tons of time here lately playing just to prepare for the day that I'd be able to do this. If I can't I'll just

Now, I'm not going to give you shit about buying a game that was announced to NOT have online play almost a year ago and expecting it to be online, nor will I give you shit for not Googling that, but I have great news!!

I just saved a bunch on car insurance...

...wait...

Try www.gtplanet.net then go to the GT4 forums. Search on X-link (could be xlink xlink/kai , or a few others) and REJOICE that you can trick the PS2 into thinking a connection is LAN. :thumb:

I can't check the website on my work computer. Oh well. Have to check it later I suppose. I thought I remembered seeing the "online" thing on the cover when I bought it and of course I remember it saying up to 6 players on the back for LAN but remembered LAN being "local area network". Just thought I'd ask while it was on my mind but thanks for the link. And glad you saved some money :thumb: :D Later!

Yes you can play it online, via XLink. But after months of messing with it, IMHO it isn't worth the effort. You are better off playing via local LAN. Much better framerates, and you don't have to worry aobut Kai Xlink randomly crashing.
