Anyone else having problems with these? I can't control any car on dirt or ice worth a damn. It's rediculous. No fun at all. I'm getting beat by ####y little 80hp cars cause I can't do anthing but drive sideways. Doesn't matter what car I use or what settings I tweak. It's always the same result. ...and don't even get me started on this 5 second penalty BS.

I've also noticed that TCS is off for these races. I can't seem to find a way to turn it on. Do the rally races have to be done with TCS off!? :(

This is retarted.

H.P. is not the cure for everything,,

I had a problem at first with my prodrive 497 hp stI After I detuned it I ripped.....

Some things do get turned off for the race class, Some switch off i am finding. Trun it back by using the tool box on the start race screen!

I must be doing something wrong or I just suck. Could be either. :p

And no, I'm not using a high HP car. I have enough problems getting something like a wrx to drive straight.

I know about the pre-race settings and the options menus, however I have been unable to find a TCS option in there. I guess it's just not allowed for these rally races.

...I gave up. On to something else.

I found the best way to beat them is to go as fast as you can and oversteer so your ass is drifting along the wall its so much faster this way. I rany a track round 5 min, and knocked off a whole minute by doing this... its amazing how fast you can go this way and your ass end hitting walls has no 5 second penalty as well...

One week later and I'm still in the same spot with these tracks. I still haven't been able to figure it out. I've wasted so much time on this and lost so many races its rediculous. I still can't beat any of these. I don't get it. I'm about to smash my ps2. ...and if I ever find the guy who got the bright idea to put those 5 second penalties in. Ooooooo. I'm get penalized because the other car passes me and rubs up against me. WTF!? Why is it this hard? What the hell am I doing wrong. OMG!!! MAKE THE HURTING STOP!!!

Running a near stock STi with a suspension lift (full customize susp) and have done VERY well with the wheel setup I just got through the "easy" stages. Working on the "normal" stages now, and it seems I'll need a tad more HP or just better skills.

I've been able to win some of these races with the Dodge Ram Quadcab w/ 527hp just for kicks.

I've been killing the dirt races. I'm using my MR and will start using the STi rally car here this weekend. My suspension is a stiff rear, with soft front to get a good turn in. I also have adjusted the ACD to be rear biased so it keeps the rear end out while pulling out of a turn

When AI was doing th elicence test, on my second try( while most of my licence tests I get bronze  ), I got the gold medal on the snow course, you just have to be a rally car game gurus to hang
