WoW comes out today!

Yep thats right.. World of Warcraft is released today! Who all is getting it? I cant wait to get off of work and pick up my copy. East coast PvP here I come.

Havent played Warcraft much. Used to love the old War2 but I'm still a Starcraft guy. That game never gets old.

yes the warcraft and starcraft serious are both real time war strategy similar to the C&C style of gameplay. Though, i find that warcraft and starcraft are far superior to C&C. The latest release of this type of game by the company Blizzard would be WarCraft III .. awesome game to pick up if you like those types. WoW... World of Warcraft is a totally different style game placed in the setting of Warcraft. It is a game similar to that of EQ (EverQuest) which I know most of you have heard of. If you like the EQ , Lineage, Anarchy, StarWars:Galaxies, UO, type games this is the first built by Blizzard that is similar to those. I personally never played a game not totally awesome that was designed by Blizzard.

i have to agree that blizzard does make some excellent games; i'm a little disappointed that shattered nations was scrapped. i haven't played warcraft3 because i just don't play games as much as i used to, hence the reason i may not bother with the newest release.... although i'm sure my roommate will and i'll have to sit and watch

I got a best buy gift card for Christmas and I want to get WoW. Problem is, none of the best buys in my area has it in stock and they dont know if they're going to be getting more.

I think the only solution is that you pretty well have to order it online, from ebay or whatever; that's what I'm doing

I haven't heard of that, but I don't really game on a PC since the one I have is crap. Thank goodness I have DSL at work or I don't know what I'd do.

EQ2 is better actually I chose EQ2 over WoW 1) I played eq1 and have large amounts of friends online through that. 2) The quests, leveling, and artisans skills are more complex and allow me to have a better replay IMO 3) it came out first and I didnt want to wait for WoW yet :laugh: . I'll play WoW eventually after I hit lvl 50 on EQ2 and sell it on playerauctions.com. WoW seems alittle more cartoony to me but some of the landscapes are just plane B-E-A-UTIFUL

I have heard it is an amazing game.... although Blizzard are not releasing any more copies until they have more servers. They sold so many copies over the xmas season they couldn't handle the players. So... they put a hold on all shipments.

Don't bother looking for a download, it's not that kind of game. You have to buy it then pay $12-14 a month to play it online. Personally the game should be free if they charge you to play. But that is just me.
