Today I had custom 3" piping from the downpipe all the way to my new Apexi N1 Turbo muffler installed. It sounded amazing, and I could "feel" the difference from the stock exhaust system to my now Custom Apexi system. I did a WOT with my new exhaust system and it worked great.

I did a second WOT just for kicks and my car studdered horribly and the boost gauge read at 1-2 PSI.

The vacuum reads at normal -20 - 30 as always. I had the car at a standstill when I revved at around 5k and the car studdered below 1k for a second or two then went back to normal idle.

I've done some searching and I think it could be something like the following

Boost Leak
Spark blow out -Sparkplugs being blown out before igniting
Intercooler is too large for my knock off ebay turbocharger -Currently rebuilding a 14B
Fuel Cut

Any and all insight would be appreciated. I'm looking into getting a boost leak tester, but I'm gonna going to go ahead to my Orielys and get some NGK sparkplugs and hope thats the problem ( Bad sparkplugs)

I'm having a much similar recurring problem.
A: the SMIC stock system is complete GARBAGE, The pipes are extremely prone to leaks, an upgrade to an FMIC or Hard-pipe kit is the way to go, I still need to get one.
B: Fuel cut is a possibility believe it or not. I'm thinking of putting on my s16g to determine this as well.
C: the plugs and wires I am thinking of replacing: the cranking is still the same, but my spark seems to be much slower and more labored.
I'll let you know if I can get a solution.

First thing is BLTs though

Yeah I wish I had ordered a BLT when I had the freaking chance, now I'm prowling the internet for one to be shipped to me as fast as possible. I'm dipping into my upgrade and body restoration budget to get alot of these parts I wasnt planning on getting until later.

You can make your own BLT for $12 if you just buy the stuff at home depot and do it yourself. If you're going to wait to get one shipped to your door you can get a spray bottle with some soapy water and spray around all the couplers and look for bubbling and that will show you any cracks or leaking couplers.

It was boost leak. I went around checking all my couplers and clamps. Every last one was loose. I dont know how that happened, but I think it was a mixture of my cars awesomeness and my lack of checking clamps when I went around seeing which ones needed to be replaced when I bought the car LOL.

Boost leak tester. I should problably build one.
