I have read and looked at the vacuum diagram and it looks like you basically plug all the lines in the top section on top of the TB. Is this correct? Is there something else i'am missing? any do's and don'ts? I really want to get rid of this thing especially since its a MAJOR boost leak :notgood:

I would appreciate any help or guidance of how to get rid of this thing efficiently and properly.

- Thanks!

There is a diagram floating around from Taboo speed shop, as well as a few threads on what to do. Almost all the vacuum lines can come out, as long as you cap them.

Any links to this taboo place and do i need link to turn off the codes if it will throw any?

Your supposed to vent (not plug) the gas tank breather under the car as opposed to inside the engine bay as well.

so the line coming "from" the canister(the one closer to the firewall) needs to breathe correct? what about the one going into the canister? Will this throw any DTC's? or cause idle/power problems?

Sorry for all the questions, I just really want to know all of what i'am doing before i go ripping it out of my bay.

Are you talking about the nipples on the TB? If so, just get some vacuum caps from advanced they held for me.

Okay, so put plug caps on all 4 lines on the TB and also plug the open ports on the TB that the lines came off?

Also, the line that has to breath coming from the gas tank needs to be diverted elsewhere so it will not fill the engine bay with gas fumes correct?

Yes and yes. To be clear, the line should be diverted and not capped off. You should also have an EGR block-off plate installed.

Thanks for your help.

EDIT: the canister is not hooked to any pressure lines and there are only 2 lines going to it and they come from the valve cover. Does this mean that air is blowing from there? Is that bad or normal?

I don't know if you've already answered your own question, but that's not a charcoal canister then. That's an oil catchcan that was put in place of your PCV system, I just installed one on my car in almost the exact same spot. Your charcoal canister is under the battery, buried underneath the bracket for the battery. I haven't removed mine yet, but removed the vacuum lines from it and haven't had any problems. I'll snap a pic if you want to see how mine is set up.
