Im not at home to take a picture but Im unsure of the brand of my front mount and looks like im going to need new pipes as well... Anyway are there special kits that retain the fog lights for my 97 gsx or do i need to modify where the inter-cooler it self sits to keep them? i have inner cooler mounted on crash bumper. ill get pics up asap and hopefully one of you may know what inner-cooler i have ill get dimensions as well since i need pipes for it. In the mean time if you guys have links to sites with kits let me know!

I run the ETS street kit and still have use of my fogs. I highly recommend that kit.

I never understood this desire. Get some good endtanks that flow well and allow even distribution across your core, OR retain your foglights....

because im not building a race car and i happen to have a front mount laying around and no stock side mount so imma just put one on. Not here to be flamed. Here to have questions answered. If i want speed ill jump in my ws6. Your post was useless and unnecessary make sure you read before the sticky's before you post next time. Thank you.

Appreciate the posts guys! ill snap some picks and show you what im up against. I been out of dsm's for about 6years now and bought a 97 gsx and happen to have parts laying around along with a 6bolt motor so making a fun dd! Thanks again.

Here's a couple pics to show you what I mean:

Stock fogs: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/bolt-tech/380370-keeping-fog-lights-vr-speed-factory-fmic.html

Aftermarket fogs (smaller depth): http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/appearance-interior-exterior/373878-custom-fog-lights-fit-fmic.html

It really depends on your intercooler, you can fab a mounting bracket for the intercooler to mount it higher or lower depending on it's relative position to the fogs. Be innovative, and you should be able to make it work.

Finally found sometime to take some pictures. I want to try to use this front mount if I can.. If not ill buy a new one but I would love to figure out who made this fm and maybe try to get the pipes to complete it if someone could help me out.

I measured this as:
Core Size: 23.5 (not measuring tanks)
Height: 11 ish close to 12
Pipe to Pipe 31 3/4
Pipe O.D 3in
Width: 3in

So i matched it to this one, It maybe something different though...
Overall Size: 27.5" x 11.75" x 3"
Core Size: 23.5" x 11.75" x 3"
Inlet/Outlet: 3"
Mishimoto Universal Intercooler M Line #21702

Let me know if i can post anymore details that anyone may need to help figure out who makes this intercooler so i can get some new pipes for it for my 97 GSX

Thanks All! :D

If it's the one you quoted it's very close to the punishment racing PUNISHMENT RACING FMIC KIT: 1995-99 ECLIPSE/TALON - Punishment Racing In which case as jdxnc said, they would take the fogs since yours has more height and less length, might have to mount it higher or lower accordingly.

So your saying it would work with the stock foglights? And is there a kit i could buy for just the pipes for this frount mount? I have a set of pipes but there junk and want to replace. Please help, thanks again for any posts with information.

I still think its the Mishimoto Frontmount. the Punishment FM has a 2 spots for bolts on the back. Mine do not.

Edit: Found Kit- http://dsm.dejonpowerhouse.com/edit/2-03B.htm
Now just wondering if that one keeps my factory fogs or can be modified too... Anyone know anything about this kit or run it? and or know what pipes I can use to complete it? doubt they sell it separate.

With my GReddy, I can retain them. But I take my bumper off at the track so I decided not to keep them.

Anyone know if this Dejon Kit Will Retain lights if I get the correct piping?
