Alright here is the deal. A buddy has a 20g/16ghotside he is willing to sell to me. My turbo blew and I am looking at upgrading anywho. Shaftplay is minimal (has been out of oil for a year or two).

It has been rebuilt and ran a bit before he decided he wanted to go with a more roadraceable turbo. Heres some quoted entries:
this is an mitsubishi mhi turbo, it uses a regular tdo5 cartridge with a tdo5 turbine wheel and a 20g compressor wheel/20g compressor housing. and the exhaust housing has about 200 miles on it and is mint (its not the original exhaust housing that came with the turbo when i bought it) it is flawless and has no cracks, not to mention its an evo III housing which has a higher nickel content than the original housings which resists to cracking ALOT better and has a redesigned wastegate passage to better control boost creep and flow better. it bolts up just like a 16g and or 14b and uses all the original lines and fittings.
honest to god truth i couldn't tell you who rebuilt it, i didn't have it rebuilt the previous owner did and he is a member on here. hes actually a moderator. i only put about 100 miles on this turbo if that, with me its only been run to 14 psi once. and it felt gooooood but im leaning towards making the galant a roadrace car and the 20g has to slow of a spool up for roadrace. otherwise id keep it for myself. its possible to make it internally gated again but you need a different exhaust housing, my friend has picked up a good one with no cracks on ebay for $40. but other than that it is not possible to make the exsisting exhaust housing an internally gated one again.

I have a tubular manifold already and a f40 tial to go along with it, so I would just weld shut the flapper hole.

Seem like a decent deal? What do you suggest as a price?

Here is a album of photos of it. Mechanically it feels near perfect, and probably will once it gets hit with oil.

Are you purchasing just the hot side or the complete turbo? If your old turbo blew, then a new hotside is not going to fix the problems. A blown turbo refers to the oil seal going, you will need to have you turbo rebuilt if it is blown.

What turbo were you running previously? According to your profile, you are running a stock turbo, but IDK if you drive a 1g (14b stock) or a 2g (t-25), or if you are running a mhi turbo.

If you have a manifold with a wastegate provision then yes all you need is to weld the flapper hole shut. Where are you planning on running your wastegate from? From the picture it looks like it has been set up to run a wastegate off the o2 housing. Personally I run my wastegate off the o2 housing and recirculated because I cant stand the sound of an open gate for a daily. You have many options of where you can mount your wastegate and/or recirculate.

7cm hotside housing can go anywhere from 60-100 dollars, personally I picked up a 7cm housing ported from FP for 95 in the classified ads. bucks, just like the housing on the 20g in the picture, but with a ported flapper hole also.

Sorry for leaving some loose ends to the post. I was running a 14b on my 1g. I have been wanting to upgrade to something bigger with a little slower spool for a while now and this is probably the chance I am looking for (fwd). I have a wally 255 sitting around, I would just need to get the afpr. I know what blowing up a turbo does, I would just assume keep the 14b as awhole to rebuild it and save it for a rainy day. I would be buying the whole turbo. I plan on running it off the mani since there is the spot to mount it on the mani and just weld the flapper hole shut. From what I have seen, 325 is a great price for this turbo and that is what I can get it for.

And I want to run it as atmospheric dump. Its not my dd so I think I wouldn't mind it to much

With the td05 hotside, it will spool as quick as a 16g. And that is a great price for that turbo, if it is rebuilt as stated and in that great of shape.
