Alright here is the deal. A buddy has a 20g/16ghotside he is willing to sell to me. My turbo blew and I am looking at upgrading anywho. Shaftplay is minimal (has been out of oil for a year or two).
It has been rebuilt and ran a bit before he decided he wanted to go with a more roadraceable turbo. Heres some quoted entries:
I have a tubular manifold already and a f40 tial to go along with it, so I would just weld shut the flapper hole.
Seem like a decent deal? What do you suggest as a price?
Here is a album of photos of it. Mechanically it feels near perfect, and probably will once it gets hit with oil.

this is an mitsubishi mhi turbo, it uses a regular tdo5 cartridge with a tdo5 turbine wheel and a 20g compressor wheel/20g compressor housing. and the exhaust housing has about 200 miles on it and is mint (its not the original exhaust housing that came with the turbo when i bought it) it is flawless and has no cracks, not to mention its an evo III housing which has a higher nickel content than the original housings which resists to cracking ALOT better and has a redesigned wastegate passage to better control boost creep and flow better. it bolts up just like a 16g and or 14b and uses all the original lines and fittings.
honest to god truth i couldn't tell you who rebuilt it, i didn't have it rebuilt the previous owner did and he is a member on here. hes actually a moderator. i only put about 100 miles on this turbo if that, with me its only been run to 14 psi once. and it felt gooooood but im leaning towards making the galant a roadrace car and the 20g has to slow of a spool up for roadrace. otherwise id keep it for myself. its possible to make it internally gated again but you need a different exhaust housing, my friend has picked up a good one with no cracks on ebay for $40. but other than that it is not possible to make the exsisting exhaust housing an internally gated one again.
