GT3782 or GT3776?

Well, It's come down to one of these turbos (unless some one else has a good recomendation within 100 bucks of the same cost (899.00 at extreme psi)

I found i can use my bill me later at any store on the web but not for private sales or i'd be running a holset

can anyone give me advice on the 3782 or 3776? My other thread got no replies related to the actual turbos I asked about so PLEASE can anyone tell me about these two? Spool charachteristics, how well they do at ~25 psi (and things of that nature)

Also if there's anything good for the ~500hp range that i can buy new for under 1000 dollars shoot me a link to it if you think it's something i should consider

but please, can we keep on topic of turbos and how they perfprm on our cars in this thread?

ALSO, i never got an answer on how they will perform with their divided housing on my undivided manifold..thoughts, suggestions (and no i can't buy a new manifold at this point)

I'm also looking at the GT35 series, but with so many optins it's hard to tell exactly what i want as i haven't kept up on the latest in turbos in a few yeasr or so

I don't think either of those turbos would be a wonderful choice. It's just an off-the-shelf Garrett with a journal bearing GT center housing, similar to the GT3251 and 3255 which have horrible thrust reliability when using the standard 270* thrust plate....which I'm sure these turbos have.

Add to that a twin-scroll T3 turbine housing with a 1.12 a/r....doesn't sound too promising for spool unless your manifold is twin-scroll as well.

There are much better choices out there for that price.

Justin.. can you make a recomendation for that price range? I trust your opinions and i think you know what i'm looking for, but just keep in mind that i have to buy new from a actual online store to use the money i have available to me

If you have a link to something you think would fit my needs i'd love to see what you have in mind. ~500hp and fastest spool available is what i am looking for and if it outperforms my old 57 trim i'm sure i'll be happy cause i was happy with it to be honest

I have a tubronetics t3 flanged cast manifold with external gate

Well, what a day.. for NOW, I have a loaner turbo, just a measly little PT6776RS, aught to make a little horsepower for now anyway

still looking for a permanent solution but for now i can say "it's good to have friends"
