Spun a bearing..how to clean out oil from turbo?

I spun a bearing and obviously metel shavings got every where. I just put a great condition t25 back on the car prior to this. Has anyone had this problem and succesfully cleaned the old oil out? Really dont feel like buying another turbo since im selling the car soon.

Im pretty sure the oil filter would catch any shavings. Not sure on 2gs but i know oil pump picks up from pan sends through the filter housing then to block/head. If not and u wanna be sure remove feed and drail lines then pour some oil into the feed hole while spinning turbine blade by hand. Good luck

My brother in laws car had spun a main bearing.I took the turbo apart and cleaned everything inside.

The oil filter doesn't catch them all - my PTE 60 trim was pulverized because of metal shavings from a spun rod bearing. Justin (jusmx141) rebuilt mine for me and said, "the turbo bearings literally looked like someone sandblasted them".

Whatever you do, you're probably not going to get everything out. Spun rod bearing shavings can wreck a lot of shit.

You can't. The turbo needs disassembled and probably rebuilt as the journal bearings will have "snail tracks" and metal fragments from the foreign material entering the oil supply.

Wrong.

Anytime you spin a rod bearing the filter becomes clogged almost instantly and all of the dirty oil bypasses the filter. An engine with a spun rod bearing is generally FULL of metal.
