I bought my 7cm housing for $50 off the classifieds, just post in the WTB and someone will PM you about it I can promise you that. Or just buy a blown 16g and use the housing off that.

There are knockoff Evo III-spec housings on eBay brand new for $75. It's not the same high-nickel steel that is used on the real MHI housings, but it's a chunk of metal that works great for the price.

I was under the impression those don't fit, but I could be wrong. And just wait it out and buy a Evo 3 housing so you won't have to be spending another $75 down the road when the ebay one cracks. I'm not saying a used Evo housing won't crack, but I think it will last longer. GL man.

- They fit absolutely fine. You may have to shim your wastegate actuator a bit, and you'll definitely have to enlarge the hole in the end of your MHI actuator, but a knockoff housing will fit and function perfectly.

- I've recently rebuilt an eBay 20G that had over 30k of use on it, and the turbine housing did not have a single crack. I've also held MHI turbos that had as little as 5k on them in my hands which were starting to crack around the wastegate hole. Neither housing is crack-proof, but I wouldn't go as far as saying the MHI housing will last longer.

keep in mind, the nickel helps the steel withstand high temperature flux. without it, you can/will start getting cracks at the casting splash if the controls were not high (which you can expect from a china housing).

i really would rather get my hands on a MHI housing. if it weren't for part of a bolt stuck in one hole and two of the other three bolt holes showing some abuse. this turbo i have now has well over 65,000 miles on it and had no cracks even having abused it like i have. i might look into the knock off housings i did see that one on e-bay for $75. i am just looking around to see what i can find else where.
