I'm running a 7bolt motor on a 2g awdtsi and have a gt35r replacement turbo I'm working on installing. The previous turbo that was on it was also a t3 which was (always get confused) either a sc61 or a 60-1. Either way it didn't have the same lines as this one did. This one seems to be water and oil cooled.

I searched a couple forums including this one for install pics / how-tos but came up empty. I don't want to guess where the coolant lines / oil lines go before priming up and starting her up. If any of you could throw me some insight on where the correct paths for the lines go that'd be great. I can include pics at a later date of the turbo as I don't have much time to be getting dirty today.

Thanks,
-Sean

Is your profile out of date? It says a ball bearing turbo and a 6-bolt swap. If the profile is right, then you can feed coolant off of where it was comig from with that. If the profile is wrong, do you have the coolant lines looped?

And then there is the combo: your post is right turbo wise and the profile is right engine wise. Then my question is: when goin to the all oil 60-1, did you install a NT waterpipe? If you or the owner before did, there is a way to get around it but requires you to disable your FIAV

The vehicle i speak of isn't the one in the profile. It is another that I have.

Its specs are what I listed in the post. I'm not sure if it has a NT waterpipe unless that mod is very common when going to a t3 turbo. It's running with a fresh rebuilt 7bolt w/ balance shafts removed.

The problem I'm having is the previous turbo didn't have a water cooled system and I'm not quite sure where to run the coolant line for this new turbo and/or where to tap into.

Appreciate the quick reply.

Thanks,
Sean

Okay, found one of my pictures of my turbo install. In the picture linked, you can see where the top waterline would go to (right below the inline oil filter). That exposed metal hose would go to the exposed metal hose that looks the same sticking right out above the compressor cover. Now I don't have a good picture of the bottom line, but if that exposed metal hose on the block side has a rubber hose on it, it is most likely looping to the bottom one. Then you just remove that hose and plumb the 2 block side metal hoses to the turbo inlet and outlet.

Hope that all makes sense :)
