I have a t3/t4 exhaust manifold that i got off of ebay and it has a 38mm waste gate flange, ok i know the size waste gate i need is a 38mm,but its got two openings one on the side of the waste gate and one on the bottom.now my question is how do i install this.what type of down pipe do i need.i,ve had a turbo dsm before 2nd gen gsx but i used the internal stock waste gate.now i have a 1990 gsx and i want to use an external waste gate, but iam unfamiliar with how to install it.and what kind of downpipe would i need since i getting a 20g which i will be attaching to my manifold with a adapter, can someone help me out.step by step never used an external waste gate before.

You'll need a regular downpipe. As for the WG, do you plan on recirculating? If not, a straight pipe pointing all the way down is all you need. If you want to recirculate, that'll require some custom fabrication. The downpipe will need a 38mm flange welded to it and a correct pipe that fits between the WG and the downpipe. More hassle than it's worth for a 20g. I recommend dumping the WG. It allows for more boost control and depending on your cup of coffee, you might love/hate the sound.
