Difference between these coolant? ports on my 20g turbos

I have two mits 20g turbos and there appear to be two ports above the oil return above each other. I undertand they are for the cooling lines the oil feed line is different size .Two holes have plugs plugging them on each side .Now looked into the holes and on the one set of holes farther from the oil return they appear to be pretty much unrestricted inlets or outlets for the coolant.

The other set of holes closer to the oil return fitting seem to be more restricted and less open .I took some pics.

So was thinking woudln't it be better to put the coolant lines in the unrestricted holes and what is the purpose of the more restricted ones?

So worried the more restrictive looking holes could hurt things. They are using the farther more open looking ports on the gto ,g8 and c5 TT kits from Aps but for some reason they are using the apparently more restrictive top hole on one turbo of the f body kit.
Now if the port don't matter than can see it otherwise tempted to just use the bigger ports.
