16G Boost Controller feed?

I installed my MSI Evo 3 16g today but unlike the stock t25 turbo there is no nipple off the turbo housing. So one hose will go to the wastegate actuator but where does the other one go?

thanks in advance!

You need to get a nipple on your J pipe. Weld or tap and screw one in.

Or you can get hook the line to any other boost source, preferably the throttle body or intake manifold. Just avoid having too many lines tied into the same source.

I don't prefer this as it takes too long for the pressurized air to reach the boost controller, causing a very slow response in the boost control. This method will almost DEFINITELY cause a boost spike.

Although others claim the intake manifold is the only way to go as you'll get a more precise control of the boost pressure that is actually reaching the engine instead of at the compressor cover.

On my cars, I use a boost source at the j-pipe or near the compressor cover for my boost controllers.

Rock solid boost control here, no spikes, but every car is different

Running 21 psi on the dot.

I had this problem while I was getting my boost source from a nipple on my j pipe. I was getting different boost levels which peaked at different RPM's. It was just very inconsistent. I switched to getting it from the intake manifold (per jeffgst's suggestion after looking at logs) and I don't have the problem anymore.

I've had mine tee'd off the BOV line for a couple of years with no known issues. However, I just put a nipple on my LICP today to switch over to a direct boost source, to give both the mbc and the bov their own source, and so I can start cleaning up the vac lines a little bit.
