Hey guys. I have a few questions about an external setup. I have the tial f38 picked for my wastegate, and i am now looking at o2 housings, and came across this one. I really like it, and im just wandering what the deal is with the dump tube? Is that for someone that is keeping the internal gate. Also what are the disadantages of running your wastegate off the O2 housing? Thanks

The o2 housing I believe is the preferred wastegate location as it will vent all (not actually all but from all cylinders) exhaust gases instead of just exhaust from one cylinder. That is for an external dump of the wastegate. The wastegate bolts to the o2 and then the dump tube bolts to the wastegate.

If youre gonna be running an external wastegate such as the f38 ,you have to route the 02 dump somewhere, either into the atmosphere, or recirculated back into the exhaust further down. Not sure of the advantages/disadvantages for the atmospheric or recirc dump, maybe someone could touch on that?

Ok. It's making sense now. I would think that controlling the airflow before the turbo would have a better affect on controlling boost, but i may be wrong.I'm just going to run an open dump. I figured it might help me stay out of the boost more because of the town clowns. :D
