Seems I can't post this up in the Tech section, so I'll just do this here.

This is an extremely simple and effective way to dump your hot waste gate gases without melting alternators, or wire harnesses.

Parts needed: General tools, flexible exhaust piece(picture below) you can get these at murrys or really any autoparts store, I can get a part number if needed, they come in many sizes, but 2 1/4" worked for me.

I went the extra step and exhaust wrapped my pipe, and it really DOES work, I can beat on the car, shoot fireballs and then touch the dump pipe and it's only warm..

This will also work for the people who are dumping from the O2 housing.

Make sure its wrapped with a few layers, that pipe leaks and is very crummy quality wise.

I picked one up at O'reily's here. I have a tial 40 off the o2 and it was exiting near my LICP so i just added a piece of this and shot it down underneath further, worked like a charm!

That's to be decided, it seems to be rather nice, its fairly flexible.

I can't ever find that anywhere :( I have a real dump tube and it isn't positioned to where I'd like it, anyone know where I can get this ?

Go to murrys, in the section where they got all the exhaust tips and stuff.

I just bought a pipe from Lowes/Home depot. Used for water and it's polished, haha and yes it holds up. 5 bucks for it and it gets the gases away from the alternator.

Here's the link to buy direct from the Advance website. I know it sounds goofy to buy something like that on the web, but if you're like me and live in the middle of nowhere where the stock at the parts store is always 1 day away....
While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at PartsAmerica.com

EDIT: LOL Ok, I was not expecting it to paste that part of the URL! Well, that link still should give you the right thing if you search for "Flex Tube Exhaust"

Here's my $5 pipe.

ADVANCE AUTO PARTS ACQUIRES NEW JERSEY KAR PARTS STORES | Advance Auto Parts Says there are 30 Advance Auto stores in Jersey? How about ebay, exhaust shop? Somebody has to have it there!

Thanks :thumb: Unfortunately for me, I drove half an hour to get there and they didn't have my size :coy: I called up autozone by my house and they had it, so all is well!!! The 1.5" was exact so I didn't have to use the mega exhaust clamp it comes with, but that was definitely the easiest 5 minute fix I've ever done, yet!

Whats up with all the worm clamps on your downpipe?

LOL my car is so low it bottoms out and rubs the crap out of the flex section. I prevented (rather, helped) that putting some sheet metal around the flex and it's held on by those 3 worm clamps. Really ghetto, but no one sees it and it preserves my downpipe :)

FYI

I ran ones of those pipes years ago on an external ATR wastegate. Problem was over time from the heat the pipe distorts and the clamp will come loose ( I USED A MUFFLER CLAMP not a worm gear clamp, will NEVER hold it on right) Pipe fell off after about 2 months and next think I know I have a hole melted in my radiator due to it dumping directly on it.
