Does this turbo come with a boost source nipple, or a place for one to be threaded into the compressor. If not what do yall suggest???

And if you are running this turbo what is your impression, and how do you like it. I just bought this bad boy.

when i bought my front mount intercooler from ets.com they told me to t off the bov vaccum source hope this helps.

Ehhh not for me. Running off the bov line is not the smartest choice....yes it does work....but to maintain proper function the bov, the line should not be tapped. There are several threads on here about the issues with tapping this line if you would like to know more.

Odd i've had mine this way for over 3 years with no issues.. But then again i always zip tie my connections

what are you looking to do with that output? (is it for the wastegate/boost controler?) I always just tapped into the line that goes to the fuel enrichment thingy over on the firewall. I never really used the the opening on the compressor housing and locating the vacuum source from the intake manifold has always netted me better boost responds over the compressor cover location... just my experiences though

my intent is to use it for the wastegate boost source, and then T'd for my boost controller. I figured it would come with a nipple and short hose like my buddies 50trim came with, but im not seeing anything.

Yea, i dont have a 1g bit that really doesnt make a difference because im not asking about stock turbo. I just want to know if this has any provisions in the casting to thread a nipple, or if it comes with one already there. I know how to put a source in, but I just want to know if it is already there......

The stock 1G turbo outlet elbow has a boost source fitting on it, it's not on the comp. housing of a TD05H like it is on a T25. Just drill/tap in the location of your choice on your IC piping.

It really isn't that hard to drill and tap the compressor housing if you are concerned about splicing into another source. But if you do not have the tools available or do not want to drill the housing and are still concerned about splicing the housing, I think atp sells a quicktap which pushes into a silicone coupler.

^^ haha short, simple, to the point, I like those answers. thanks for the help LOL

Just call and request it when you place your order, @ FP you can have it your way.

Damn I would have done that had I known. I ended up buying it from amsperformance.com so I was unable to have that done. I ended up welding a boost source in my J-pipe.
