Well i was trying to put my turbo on and no dice. it wont sit at all. i seein how forum member Blknspooln did his i have a few ?s whether he can answer it or someone else, my turbo is not water cooled so it wouldnt make sense for me to take off the water lines? can i still take the water line thats on the block and plug it up(this is in refrence to his write up). I want to use the stock manifold i have an adapeter plate thats works fine, or should i just get a T3 manifold.
thanks in advance

What's it hitting? I have teh turbonetics cast manifold and teh same garret t3/4 57 trim in a TO4E housing and it fits just fine. I had to trim teh main radiator fan for my pipe routing. But you can see pics of it in the post "overheating on highway driving " or something like that. Are you trying to put it onthe stock manifold with an adapter or something? That will never fit right. A kid here tried is and ahd a ton of issues. Not even sure where teh adapter was made but it wasn't pretty LOL

let me know where youre having trouble and i'll see what i can do. We have an eclipse that i'm tning that has a T71 on it right now ( i think it's the 71, because he upgraded when his t67 disintergrated) That's sittin on teh same cast turbonetics manfold as well

Yes you want a t3 manifold. There are alot of choices for amnifolds out there from ebay to HKS. The manifolds from ebay are getting better and better. I have one on my 1g and it has not cracked or anything. It has about 2000 miles on it.

For the water lines you could just ghetto plug them if you want but there is a better method. Tap them to npt and use a pipe plug for them. If you do this you can always buy a fitting and run an water lines if you get a water cooled turbo. I used 3/8 npt tape fot the water pipe and a 1/8 npt tap for the t-stat. Worked very well when I had to go back to my 14b because of some blown oil seals in my 57 trim. :thumb:

Well i wouldnt have to worry about fans im running Two slim fans pushing(which means both fans mounted on front of the raditaor) i wanted to use the stock manifold but the compressor housing is way to big and his hitting the block. so im probly going to purchase the FP exhaust manifold. this is directed to selermguy i know there are plenty of exhuast manifolds im not a noob and all the stuff your wrote was totally irrelevant to my ?s
