blown turbo

hey guys i put my turbo on the thing boosted great before i got into a car crash now....


i got into a rear end accident (i did the rear ending) yes i know .... well now the car sounds supercharged under boost rear high pitched kinda like a bad ground. the car feels like a t25 up to 5300 or its at 18psi and at 5300 starts to boost hard like it should is this a blown turbo? boost leak? turbo has zero shaft play but i cant see the blades on the turbo i odnt feel like taking i back off again i like my knuckles and so does a friend


thanks just wondering if its worth the rebuild or let me know a list of turbos that will bolt up to the stock manifold on the 2g talon tsi cause if i have to rebuild ill just go bigger i wish 60-1's bolt up the the mitsu housing

ohhh btw the turbos got less then 100 miles on it OUCH!?!?!?!? its a ebay knockoff i might as well go bigger help me ###

Did the intercooler get damaged in the wreck? It sounds like you need to do a boost leak check. And they do make a bolt on 60-1, it's called a fp red.

i have the stock sidemount on it still my fmic is sitting in my room im just waiting for the 200 bucks to get it put on the accident set me back a lil but u thik that sound could be a boost leak cause i know its taking a long time to boost also i have the wastegate T'd in to the blow off vacuum line which is a no no i have to get the nipple installed in the j-pipe could that also make the bov not function right and leak? i have teh hks ssq with the recirculation fitting on it so i can drive and not stall.

your first problem is that its an ebay knock off!!! i had a friend buy an xs engineering turbo and it did the same thing. but with out boost. they aren't balanced and don't work correctly. take it out and get a new turbo before it hurts your car even more. a real turbo.

I was just about to say the same thing.
When i tell people I bought my evolll for almost $600.00, they say im crazy, that i couldve have gotten the same thing for so much less,blah,blah,blah.

All i can say is reliability is my best friend

or i went out and my j-pipe came loose during the accident and all i was hearing was the boost leaking out of a small gap in between my turbo and j-pipe.

please dont argue about whats good and whats not i just watned help on the turbo and i appreciate all the people that actually tried to help i appreciate it.
