I am lookin for good information on choosing what size of wastegate to get. I read somewhere that a 38mm wastegate is only goot for about 450hp.

I dont see the problem with me running a 38mm wastegate though on my new setup where I intend on running lots of boost so it wont have to work very hard :D . I was hopin to set my wastegate up with a 1.5 bar spring and use this for putting around town, and when I go to the track run 30+ psi.

Sorry I am unfamiliar with external gates, so someone please educate me.

Setup: 6 bolt with full rotating assembly upgraded, gt35r, supporting mods

Guys have made 450 hp on the stock diameter MHI wastegate.

my 38 mm wastegate works w/ my setup that sees over 50 lbs/min and it has more of a problem of blowing open then controling boost (creap).
