What all turbos come with a downward facing cold side?
My current intercooler is setup for a downward facing turbo.
I like my custom pipes and really dont want to change them. But im looking to upgrade my turbo. So what all turbos come downward facing.im looing to break into the 10's
Flange style doesnt matter.
Thanks

Nearly all non-Mitsu come like that. However, no matter what turbo it is, you can clock the compressor housing to point any direction you want. Everything smaller than a 20g in MHI turbos is upward facing. 20g and larger are downpointing, but like I said, you can change it. The only thing you need to worry about when clocking options is if you have an internal wastegate. I assume with a turbo that can get you in the 10's, you're going to have an external so it shouldn't be a problem.

So i can make the garrett 35r work with mu current fmic without changing my pipes?
I guess you learn something new everyday.
Thanks

yes.. you clock the housing, loosen the bolts around the compressor side and turn. then retighten them up. you can even clock mits style turbos, 16g's 14bs, etc if you grind off the dowel pin.

If you don't have an internal wastegate. If you do, you're going to need to fab something up or make it pull from the backside.

The GT35R should be downward facing anyway. You said your pipes are set up for a downward facing turbo, so you shouldn't need to do anything. Just put it in and clamp everything up.
