How are you suppose to tighten the oil feed line into the turbo. I have the blue (i guess AN) fitting, then the gold bolt on the 90degree elbow connected to the SS oil line. I can't get a wrench in between the turbo housings and I can't get a socket or line wrench because of the 90degree elbow on it.

When I first installed the turbo, I started it and had a leak. I think I tightened it a little more, but I have to make a 3 hour drive to college monday and I don't know if it will make the drive.... any suggestions. It looks to be a 7/16", I was considered dremeling a wrench to make the sides skinny so it could fit. Do stores sell super skinny wrenches?

Plus this means I have to take off the fan, manifold, waterline...

When i had this problem i took the open end and slid it on the line, got it around the 90* and then tightend it down. then took the wrench slide it back off and it was done.

If this dont work then i hand tightened it. I also used high temp antibacking compound so the nut would not back off. I spun it snug then minipulated it so i could use the 90 degree elbo as a handle to spin it while i held the nut in place.

I leave for college Monday. Right now the leak is a slow drip so I might just make the trip

I used a set of tools from sears. It's called extreme grip wrench. It's open ended and grips on to 2 sides of the nut. I was able to tighten it that way. They're a nice set of wrenches I found.

I went to autozone and got those "extreme grip" wrenches and was able to turn it ever so slightly a couple times. Leak is gone... for now :) .... drove it around for 20 minutes, brought it back and didn't see any drips... My first turbo install is finally finished :) .... no if I can just find someone to socket my ecu and get DSMLink setup with my 750's.....

It was just that I couldn't get it tight enough. I got the turbochargers.com 2G complete solution so I had all knew washers/bolts/gaskets.... Can't wait till I download the new injectors and can start tuning this monster

If it's the fitting I think he's talking about they're not banjo type. The water lines are banjo fittings and yes those have copper washers.

The one he is talking about has a spinning nut that screws on to fitting. It's kinda a difficult place to get to since it's between the housings.

Just be careful of any teflon tape or gasketmaker you put there since a clog can clog things and destroy it.

Teflon tape wont seal anything on a flare/AN fitting either. It seals on the tapered surface, not the threads. As for tightening it, I always find it easiest to pre-attach the feed line to the turbo before I bolt the manifold onto it.
