Just wanted to get an answer on this one. Why is it that when you get the td06h wheel option on the bastard 20g and the regular 20g you need to get a different sized bolt to use for the oil feed line. No other turbo company to my knowledge requires a change in bolt which brings up the question of if a real mitsu center section is used. Any one care to chim in ;)

You do know that a Bastard 20G is FAR from a normal 20G, real MHI or not, right?

Yes it's a real Mitsu turbo. If you bought a TD06 20G you'd need the larger banjo, hence why it's required on a Bastard 20G with the TD06 wheel.

Yea but that is only from them? My friend has an FP street strip 20g and it uses the standard 12X1.25mm thread pitch.

Also yes i know the bastard isn't a normal 20g but it isn't far from it either. The only difference is the compressor cover.

I'm sure it's because SBR uses their own custom cast housings on most of their SBR series. I haven't looked too much into what SBR is doing with their 20g variants, but maybe that'll lead you to the answer you're looking for.

Pouring your own turbine housing doesn't effect the size of the banjo fitting in the bearing housing. There are two popular bearing housings being used by most turbo vendors. The dry housing which comes M10x1.25 and the wet housing which come M12x1.25. When we use the dry housing we drill and tap the oil inlet fitting for M12x1.25 just to avoid potential complications.

And that makes all the difference in the world.:thumb:

What does the compressor cover have to do with the size of the banjo bolt they use?
