2g Turbo Same in A/T and M/T?

I am trying to find an inexpensive replacement for my ruined stock turbo on '98 GSX A/T. The local parts places are telling me that the Manual and Automatic Turbos are different. Is this true? If so, what are the differences and will a M/T turbo work on my automatic? I have always thought they had the same turbo so please educate me.

They are the same on both the automatic and the manual. It is a T-25 turbo.

Cool. I kinda already knew that but I had to hear it from someone else before I lay down the cash.

no problem, the local parts places were probably thinking 1G as they were different. If you want to upgrade you can directly bolt on a T28, otherwise you'll need another T-25, you can probably find plenty of used examples for cheap in the classifieds.
