ok, this if were my 5g is going i'm sure theres a few things i'm forgetting so.. if anyone has any other recomendations lemmie know! especially on a nice sounding BOV thanks :thumb:

You forgot about the wastegate, or do you think you won't need one? ROFL

And there no such thing as t3/t4 exhaust manifold. It can be either one, but not both.

I would go with a T4 setup and make big power///

I think the first supporting mod you need is a bigger turbo:sneaky: Just kidding. Seriously though I think these guys are just trying to tell you that the turbo you are looking at is way too big for the street. I'm not sure what a T-70 hits full boost at on a 2.0 but I know it isn't anything under 5k and I would guess more towards 6k. These turbos are usually used on cars with V-8's like mustangs and camaro's and maybe some V-6's. If this a track car that you were going to be taking up to 9k I could see it but even then thats still a big turbo. You should do some more rsearch because if you are building a street car you won't be happy with this turbo.

I hope you dident ferget about the ball bearings that will definatly help the spool up, and no i dident ferget a wastegate i'm undecided on what size i want or a brand to but on to the spooling agian dsm link with the anti lag should also add to the spooling i know it's a big turbo and i've seen and felt a t-70 hit full 30 lbs at 7.5k rpm on a 4g63 the car runs/ran mid 10's around 140 mph range but anyways that's just an example of what i'm hopeing for my car to be a street/track beast

This sounds contradictory. You give two examples of how spool will be "helped," as if you're concerned with such things, then say full boost reached on the stock 7.5K limiter. Are you concerned with spool or not?

What RPM will you be setting the limiter to? Are you building your head/drivetrain to accommodate? Is your example car an automatic as well?

Ultimately, if you've seen a built car using the T-70, and are cool with the spool :D, and the car goes like you want it to at the track, then copying that setup is what I recommend.

Personally, I'm curious as to whether this is your daily driver.

This kid is clueless. He probably thinks that anti lag and ball bearings (as he pointed out to you) will make it spool by 3500. :|

You can say that again. I was laughing so hard after I started reading this thread that I thought I was going to fall out of my chair. I think he should go buy an internally gated Super MRQS 250mm turbo from Bullseye (stage eleventeen as BatmanGSX would say), pick up some 390cc injectors, tune by adjusting the fuel pressure, and let the beast eat up the pavement. :thumb:

Lots of support, I have a friend that makes 766 AWHP with a turbonetics T66 @36psi on a 2.2l Stroked 3SGTE, with a .84 A/R turbine for the streetbrawler setup.

hope you have a good Job

Actually I do have a job i've had one with heating and cooling for sometime now and i've saved up 5 grand so ISUJakey thanks for the rude comment

As for rpm limiter i'll probily raise it to around 8-8.5k depending on powerband i get.
If you read the very first mod i'm looking around local shops to get head work, the trans is also getting mod's as well there listed too. yes the car is an automatic that's why i'm getting a IPT highstall tourqe converter, IPT end clutches and a translab shift kit. As for if this is my daily driver rightnow it is yes but i also have a 90 nissan sentra as another dd:thumb:

I guarentee it will be building boost by then and turbos are always spooling btw ROFL

I'm really considering that because the turbine houseing has the t4 inlet with 2 openings and not one open hole like most hybrids :thumb:

why not go witha gt42r that should make some serious power

Man, you guys like to bash. 97 talon kid, dont listen to these guys they are probly all stuck in the 11's or slower. A t70 with a small a/r and running an auto trans is a great setup. With a high stall 4k+ and a bit of anti-lag you will 60foot just fine. FOR THE HATERS THIS IS AN AUTO TRANS WHEN ITS ON BOOST IT WILL STAY THERE.I think the people that posted should get a clue and worry about there slow cars first.
Dont let these guys bring you down it sounds like a nice set up. If you have any ???? feel free to contact me at dogboxracing.com.

Btw- I am running a t72 with a gtq wheel on my 5spd street car.

Finally someone with some sence does your turbine houseing have the t4 inlet with the 2 exhaust inlet holes?

yes,its a split housing. Keep in mind a split .70 housing is small it = some thing like a .58. A t70 with a ptrim and t4 .70 split housing on a 2.0 8.5-1 motor we saw full boost on a 5spd car at about 5200rpm. This car also ran well into the 9's no nos at 3000lbs.You will have better results since an auto loads the motor more and no problem between shifts. If you have a choice and big power is what you want dont go with the split housing the mith of spool up ganes are just that. Only spool gane comes with the fact they are smaller then a none spit housing.

Looking over your setup there are some things that you need help with. To start you will not have a o2 housing. Get a v-band and have a three inch or 3.5 down pipe made. Scrap the link and go full dfi Aem,Haltech<accel dfi, etc. Also sounds like you will need some more fuel. You will also have a tuff time using a flywheel on a auto car LOL. Listen all jokes aside it sounds like you need alot of help and do alot of research. Guys, this is no reson to jump all over this kid. We all started some place and these boards are to help others.

want to pm me some setup ideas? that might suite me better?
