It might be my boost guage but it does read zero when you shut off car.I can only seem to get about 13psi on the gauge but I have a 1bar or 15psi springs in my tial 44.
So just wondering if that is why am getting a few pounds less than its rated for since I am at 1900feet above sealevel. Its no huge deal of course can just dial it up to compensate. Have just been running off the spring so far.

Altitude will not keep you from building boost. 15psi at sea level is 15psi at 1900 feet. The higher the altitude the harder the engine has to work, however. But it wont keep you from making as much boost as you want. Probably a boost leak.

I am at 5800ft and running 20psi.

Not sure I am being clear.I haven't tried upping the boost with a manual controller yet as still in 500 mile break in mode and just touched 13 for a second or two.

So just wonderingt if a 1bar spring in a tial external will be 15psi at sea level and at say 5000feet above.I realize i can compensate by raising the boost.
Its slightly possible I have a boost leak have to make a big 4 inch tester. Also it seemed to hold 13psi rock steady.I also am temporarily using a cheap boost gauge not my autometer which still have to mount in my pillar pod.

Maybe it reads a pound or so low..

Higher altitude = thinner air = less resistance to turbo spinning = pretty much automatic and self-adjusting boost.
Higher altitude will also give you a lower air pressure gauge reading, which is how altimeters and barometers work.

Ok staytuned I have the 1bar combo of two springs. Not the one spring. So it should be 14.5 not 13.
Secondly so does the altitude of 1900 not maybe make the guage read 1.5 lower?
And thirdly I guess my gauge may not be that acccurate. It is a power fist boost vac guage.
And lastly I guess its possible I do have a boost leak.Anything is possible with a dsm I usually find.
