I did some searching around, just want to make sure my answeres are right before I go out and spend my money...

I'm planning on upgrading to a FMIC and having all my piping made by a local shop. My question(s) are, the way blo thru works, when they are making my piping, I'd want the MAS(GM MAF) placed BEFORE the blow off valve correct?
### right now, the setup I have has my intake, then the GM MAF(on the intake after the filter) then the turbo...
i just want to make sure when I switch to blo thru I'm doing everything correct

On the pipes it should be(from the intake manifold), the GM MAF(plugged in to MAFt), then the BOV, then the rest of the pipe all the way to the cooler.
Anything I'm missing?
Is there anything I ahve to worry about when I get my LICP's changed to hard pipes as well?
Thanks in advance guys for the help.

if you want blow thru and vent your bov you want the gm maf after the bov. This way went your blow off vavle vents off pressure it wasnt already metered. I have it this way and it works great.

Just check out some engine picks in the gallery and you can see how the MAS in blow-thur should be mounted. As far as the hard piping, get good clamps and do a boost leak after the install.

alright true...thanks...im looking for a good FMIC now...i think theres a real nice bar and plate that im interetsted in on ebay...just a universal cooler and ill get someone to make the pipes for it...

if it helps any, check my engine bay in my gallery and you can see the blow thru setup... maybe not as close or nice as you want yours, but enough to give you an idea on how to do yours.

seriously thanks a million guys...thats really cleared things up for me...as for purchasing from dejon tool the site is really confusing plus i can get my local shop to do it

as for the setup its pretty straight forward, now that i can VISUALLY see it...is there anything I should look OUT for?

the licp i dont think it will be a big deal...

thanks for the compliment on the conversion...if theres one thing in life that was a pita it was that freakin turbo wing but it looks great...i love my conversion without the 97-99 skirts...i actually think it looks BETTER than a full conversion

As for DSMLink, i dont know SQUAT about tuning on that thing. I would love to learn...but first I think I need an SAFC...and I'd like to learn how to use that. If you don't mind though I'll add you to my buddy list on both DSMtuners and instant messanger...ill be in touch

do you think i should get DSMlink INSTEAD of an SAFC or IN CONJUNCTION WITH an SAFC?

DSMlink is all you need IMHO. I have a turboXS dual stage BC wired to the FPRsolenoid and using DSMlinks nitrous control can control high low boost without having to dink around with the greddy remote switch that I usually push so hard that it rotates around the backside of the steering wheel, then pray it changed. DSMlinks nitrous control can do thisk based off of throttle, rpm, speed, knock. Its really nice. The logging rate with DSMlink will blow away ANYTHING the ODB-II logger could even think about doing (and yes I have one of those too).

The SAFC alters the airflow to "trick" the car into adding more or less fuel. DSMlink, allows you to alter the fuel setting and TIMING setting independant of eachother. stutterbox, antilag, idle and redline controls. Allows youto log external sources such as oil temp, boost, wideband O2 ect. And awesome tech support and forums.

yeah it does sound great...but intimidating LOL
i guess you gotta start somewhere right...i mean i already have half the package since i have a 95 i have eprom and i know we have an old palm layin around here somewhere...i donno we'll see i mean im hoping for a high 12 second time with a 16g, frontmount, injectors

i think that'll do it...plus a good tune/dsm link will def help my times...we'll see how it goes...ill be in touch and thanks for the info:thumb:

If you want a GOOD intercooler, get a DVDTfab kit. Or get something to hold you over for now, and replace it down the road when you need something that can flow more.
