Garrett GT35/40R REBUILD???

hey,
Can get great deal on used Garett GT35/40R,Can get for 200usd run 5000km.
BUT! guy telling me I need new bearings,told me its not for drive it. Is it possible to check some Bearings rebuild kit like for my T3/T4?May I make by myself? friend of mine got car service and can use "press-maker" Actually don´t know how looks inside of center on this beast.just know it got BB
BTW is possible totaled Ballbearings charger after 5000kms?read that BB are better and holds longer than standard bearings.
Checked threads but didn´t found anything about rebuilding this GT 35R

It is possible the bearings could be ruined that soon, especially if the previous owner didn't have oil/coolant running through it. I know you can buy the whole center section including both wheels from Slowboy or similar shop:

Venca, sounds like a bad deal to me. I've never heard of anyone rebuilding a ball bearing turbo, but if someone has, I'm sure they'll post.

You cannot rebuild a ball bearing turbo. That is why i am hesitant to buy one for my new setup.
