The turbo housing on my Evo3 16G must've had the bolts broken off in it or something. Anyways, they were poorly drilled out. One is really bad, the others aren't terrible. I ran a tap thru them before I put it on the car. I think it may be leaking exhaust there, making tuning really difficult. Is there a solution to this problem? I will be pulling it off this weekend to port it. Thanks for the suggestions!!

1. Helicoils, but I don't think they'll deal with the heat.
2. Drill the exhaust housing out all the way and put nuts on the end of the bolts.
3. Get a new exhaust housing; pick up a turbo that is in need of a rebuild.

I'm sure someone's got a better idea that me, just my suggestions.

Helicoils will work fine. They are make of stainless steel and will take the heat better than the original threads.

So where can I get some helicoils? So far, McMaster-Carr Industrial Supply has them (www.mcmaster.com), but where can I get them locally, a hardware store??

Sweet, both of those are around here. I'll make some calls to make sure they have them. M8 or M10? I'll look at the tap that I have to make sure.
