Ok, my research has yielded nothing... I need a link or a direct answer to my simple question. Given the same turbine housing, does the Garrett/Turbonetics Stage 5/P-trim wheel flow more than the Garrett/Turbonetics Stage 3/T31 wheel? The P-trim is a T4 wheel and the T31 is a T3 wheel, right?

For starters, a Stage 5 wheel and a P-trim wheel are two different wheels. A Stage 5 wheel is a T3-based wheel, and a P-trim turbine is a T4-based wheel, although you can adapt T4 housings to fit Stage 5 wheels and you can adapt T3 housings to fit P-trim wheels. A Stage 5 flows more than a Stage 3. A P-trim flows more than a Stage 5. Hope this helps!

LOL ... no this makes things worse. Why does bullseye sell a 50 trim with the option of a Garrett/Turbonetics Stage 5/P-trim wheel or a Garrett/Turbonetics Stage 3/T31 wheel? Which of those two wheels flow more?

Stage 5 is usually a T350 wheel. Stage 3 is T31, there are two T31 wheels that I know of the 69 trim and the 76 trim. P trim is not a stage 5, it's a P trim. As for which one flows the best it depends on what housing you put them in.

Ok. It makes more sense if you're saying that Bullseye is wrong. But, why would they be wrong. Is it that people are mis naming the stage 5 for a P trim because they flow similarly?

If the turbine housing is a constant, then the stage 5 wheel or the P-trim would flow more than the t31, correct?

I don't know enough about turbo's to answer that accurately. I do know that a P trim wheel in a .82 a/r will flow a hell of a lot more than it would in a .63 a/r. So putting a P trim in a .63 a/r turbine housing might actually hurt flow compared to a t350 wheel. Kind of like stuffing a GT35R wheel in a 14b housing, not that it would even fit but just as an example. Forced Performance would probably be the best source for turbo information. I would give them a call and see what they have to say.
