im debating as to which configuration to go with... 20g TDO5H or 20g TDO6 ... what are the pros and cons of each, differences... ? does anyone have accurate numbers as to how much each turbo flows in terms of lbs per. min ... right now i have an evoIII turbo, and was wondering if this upgrade would bolt up perfectly to my set-up, even oil feed/return lines... ? could i literally buy the turbo, pop off the evoIII, pop on the 20g, and call it a day? ... on a lighter note, happy thanksgiving... :dsm:

The flow in terms of lb/min refers to the compressor wheel, which would be a 20g regardless of which turbine wheel you choose. Tort has gone 11.02 @ 126 on an 20g with a clipped TD05H turbine wheel in a 7cm housing. I'd avoid the 06 turbine wheel and go straight to the 06H if you want more top end. The turbo you have has seen 42lb/min on other people's setups, and the 20g is rated at 44lb/min. You have to decide if it's really a worthwhile upgrade. The turbine side, oil lines, and coolant lines will bolt right up, but you'd have to adapt your compressor outlet piping (unless you got a "sleeper" 20g, which uses a TD05H comp. housing, but then you're killing the efficiency of the larger wheel). Are you still on stock cams? If so, I'd highly recommend picking up a set first. Also, are you on a stock ECU? If so, your mod list indicated 660s and an AFC. Your timing must be through the roof. Are you trying to build this setup for pump gas or primarily race gas?

stock cams.... stock ECU... i do have 660's and an AFC. i had actually gone to get my car tuned this past weekend at road race engineering, but my boost is uncontrolable... ive done EVERYTHING to try to control it... port the exhaust manifold, o2 housing, got an o2 dump, turned OFF the boost controller... and i still overboost like crazy (i'll have it set at 15psi it will increasingly go up to 22-24 lbs, regardless of what the setting is at... so im stuck here with only 1 option, to get a new turbo... ill will be on pump gas daily driven, im not looknig to boost over 15 lbs, and 100 octane on occasional track days and so forth... thanks for the help... :dsm:

I don't see upgraded wastegate flapper in the mix. I have a 34mm on my TD05H/20G (which I've had flow 46 lb/min) and if I take off my boost controller it only creeps from 15psi to 18psi. Also, Bill Hahn has run 10.871 @ 135 on his 20g.

didnt Shep run a 10.7-10.8 on a Buschur 20G a long time ago?

With 660s, AFC, and stock ECU, your timing is probably out of control. See if you have an EPROM ECU and get a chip if you're primarily running pump gas. That'll let you run more boost safely since it'll bring the timing tables back to normal. If you're only planning to run 15psi, going from an EVO 16g to a 20g would be a monumental waste of time. The 20g doesn't really begin to shine until like 25psi. I'd do an external gate, that should absolutely fix your creep problem. Then, if you want more power, just start turning the boost up.
