new boost leak found

there is a nipple that screws into the back of the intake manifold. a hose runs from there to a nipple mounted on the firewall above the brake master cylinder. will it hurt anything if i eliminate the hose by just replacing the nipple on the intake manifold with a bolt ?

well. if its going to you brake booster, you can kiss your power assist good bye!

does this mean my brake booster is leaking becase its not coming from the hose or the nipple on the intake manifold

My car did the same thing in the past. There is supposed to be a 1 way valve inside that hose that only lets the brake booster have vacuum, but no boost. Chances are the check valve just broke for some reason. Considering I didn't want to spend $100000 or whatever the dealership would want for that hose with the valve I grabbed a piece of fuel line and cut it to the proper length. I then cut it in the middle and installed a pcv valve in line with that hose. It works awesome, actually looks pretty cool, and is the cheap fix. Just make sure you put the valve on facing the right direction. ;-)
