Cant make up my mind between a 35R and a To4R

Ok I was going to get the SBR GT35R for sure and then I seen that someone was running a To4R on his 2.0 and got 579! with 650cc injectors, only a S-afc and VPC,stock T/B,Rail,fuel lines, and intake manifold on 29# of boost. I know that SBR got 629 or so on their 2.3 GT35R but Its a 2.3.

They are both quite potent turbos in t3 or t4 housings. The bolt on housings available kill overall performance of the larger compressors. A friend just made 668hp/545ft lbs with a t3 gt35r and one of my manifolds. Dyno Sheet. This car also just went 10.1@141 without nitrous.

Comparing this chart to a similarly powered 67mm/P trim combo the 35r smacked it around like a red headed step child. The 67 is capable of similar numbers with a 2.0 but do not expect the spool up and mid range you'd get from the 35r.

The to4r would be capable of much more, but you are defiantely right about the spool up. However, with the Garrett BB CHRA, it would be realively easy to convert a t67 to a BB unit and give a little more low end. Granted, it will still be slower to spool, but it has a 100whp advantage over the 35r.

IMHO getting one of these bolt on turbos in a bolt on housing isn't even worth it. Also, getting a t67 in a .63 t3 with a t350 wheel is next on the list of worthless...

i would have called and had a custom turbo made for you.

i just got my ITS dual ball bearing GT72 Q trim in a 1.06AR T3 divided. its good for like 900hp or some stupid shit. i got lower compression on my 2.3L stroker( 7.5:1) but i should see full boost a little under 5000rpms without spray... i plan on running 40psi and a 125+ direct port shot.

hope to make that 35R dyno map look like a stock civic map.... hehe. that is sweet on a 35R though... pretty amazing.

It'll be a T4/TO4R .58a/r with the Q trim wheel! good to 700! I cant wait!

I do not think the .58 will support 700whp. I like the idea of the q wheel, or even a gt40 turbine, but don't just thorw it in a small housing to make it spool. It will still be laggy and possibly choke off flow up top.

.63a/r made 629whp at 28-29psi and 657@ 30psi the .82 HO made 731whp@31psi and around 680ish at 28-29psi

657 WHP with the T3/T67 on the stage 5 wheel in a .63 A/R hot side. That's on a 2.0 litre honda, but far from worthless. .82 HO is refering to a .82 A/R T3 exhaust housing cut out for a P-trim wheel on the same T67 compressor wheel. Sure, it frees up some top end horsepower, but at the expense of about 500 RPM's worth of lag.

I think you should give us a horsepower goal before we can decide what's right for you.

My Horsepower goals are 600-650 on race gas around 33-35psi. The To4R is my choice!

If I wanted 600-650 then I would opt for a 35r. I wsnted 700+ so I stuck with the t67/p tirm. :)

I thought I'd set my goals a little low to start off with , and If I want more than I wont have to buy another turbo.
