T-67. What are the opinions?

I say if your gonna do it, do it big, so get it. Any specific specs on it? Not sure the spool time just from what slowboy gives you.

No specs that I'm aware of. I've searched but haven't really found anything on the T-67. If I went with it, would it be good to leave one or the other side of the turbine housing unported to help with spool? Or should I just port it out and it not be a problem since I'm going stroker anyway? Hmmm....

I probably won't shift any higher that 8k of course so wanna make sure the power doesn't come on right at about the time I'm shifting. Also wondering the minimum size injectors. I have 650's right now. I know some people are running those on 60-1's with that size but dunno about this turbo.

What type of engine management are you running? If you are running dsmlink or something of the sort I would just go ahead and go with 1k's or bigger.

Dsmchips stage 3 (burned for the 650's), maft, and pocketlogger. If I go dsmlink, it'll be awhile.

Shane from Elite Motorsports ran a T4 T-67 and made 694WHP on a FWD dyno. He said spool up comes around 5500.

The turbine housing you use can change the T67's characteristics greatly. Why #### around with hybrid turbine housings? IMO, you should just go with the 60-1.

Because if it'll put down more power than the 60-1, then that's my reason. Hybrid or not. I also wouldn't wanna have to change my exhaust manifold and downpipe just to have to fit this turbo. But I guess now the question is, what would be the characteristics of this turbo on the mitsu housing? Would spool be faster, etc. What would be the minimum size injectors, and what kinda horsepower could you get with a mitsu housing? Comparing this to a 60-1.

I could be wrong, but anything the size of say a GT35R or bigger will drastically inprove its flow with a full garret housing vs. the mitsu. housing. I talked with a lot of vendors about turbos before selecting one. IF all you want is big power, just go with a full garret T4 setup with some nitrous and call it good. Remember that big turbos don't always = fast cars though. There is a lot more to it than that. I am building a 2.3 stroker right now, and actually chose the GT30r because I feel it will make more streetable HP. I also have a ZEX direct port kit that goes on the car also, so I will have a 100 shot at my disposal also if I need it. Good luck with everything!

There's so many different setups out there now that it's really hard for me to even know where to start now-a-days. Back when I 1st got into the dsm scene, it was 14b's, 16g's, 18g's, 20g's, and franks that most people went with (from what I remember anyway). Now there's zillions to choose from. Then you throw in the mix of ball bearing, etc. sheesh, where to begin? Guess maybe I should get more educated on the turbo aspect a bit more 1st cause I haven't had to worry about that for awhile. Just gonna start another thread as far as that goes, but would still like to hear more opinions in the mean time on this turbo. Thanks!

I'm starting to get the idea a lil better now. But could someone please tell me the effeciency range on a T67? I "had" been considering a GT35R but If the T67 will put more down I may just go with it. Only concerns are how well it'll perform on pump gas at psi ranges in the 20's. A certain individual wants to sell me his and I'm looking into it.

Also, I'll be sticking with my current tuning methods for now. Stage 3 dsmchip, Maft, and pocketlogger. Does anyone know what the minimum size injectors I could use? The smallest I see that dsmchips can burn is 850's. I'll probably just buy new injectors and have my chip redone but wanna make sure it'll be within it's capabilities. Thanks!
