1G is fuel cut turned on at a certain rpm?

i don't use the boost control solenoid at all. i got the vac line going from the j pipe right to the wastegate. It's only boosting about 9 pounds. And i get boost cut before redline.

This is my first real turbo car(91 tsi). my other was a 90 non turbo converted to turbo. In the 90 i was able to rev till i felt i had enough. I thought even i would be able to at least reach redlin in the tsi

May I ask where you got that number?

But yah, if you're hitting FC at low boost 99% of the time you have a boost leak.

Is this 9psi on the factory gauge or aftermarket? The factory gauge does not read boost, instead it gives an approximation of boost based on ECU perceived airflow.

Another possibility is a large boost leak. I see that your BOV while crushed is vented to ATM .

Try re-routing it to the intake and seeing if that helps

right now i'm thinking the bov maybe causing the fuel cut.
but i'm sure the bov is not causing the bad idle. it doesn't leak at all at idle speed.
