im in the process right now of building up my GST...i have a 3" turbo back...custom piping with HKS carbon ti tip...i plan on getting the evo3 manifold and ported 02...i have an intercooler core, injen intake, and am getting the piping for the fmic built...i am giong to put everything on at the same time and would really like to run the tial bov...my question is i understand i have to run blowthru so can i just buy a kit for the maft??? is that the best way to run it. this is what i dont understand about these cars is changing it from recirculating without hurting the car...i read and try but just doesnt trigger unless i have like a visual. also i plan on going on dsmchips and getting a chip and i also have a afc...my turbo is undecided, the only thing i have not yet bought is the turbo and fuel, i plan on doing that in a few months but i wanna get everything else right now. i do plan on getting bigger than a 16g. my other question is i know that alot of hi boost cars and very quick cars are running that bov...is it fine to run this on say 20 lbs?

If you want to vent to atmosphere you will need a MAF and MAFT, blow thru setup is where you place the MAF on the UICP before the throttle body. Otherwise you can put it before the turbo. The downside is that if your intercooler pipe blows off, you're screwed, whereas in blow thru setup you can still drive your car.

The tial does not recirculate so you will need the MAF and MAFT, you can choose either blow thru or before the turbo, you're not required to do it blow thru to run the tial BOV.

see this is the part i do not understand so i dont feel comfortable doing it on my own. so which would be better for me??? how much is it approx. gonna run me??

thanks alot man...so where would i purchase this...does it come as a kit??? can the average joe install it or no??

You can use a MAF from just about any GM vehicle. They come in different sizes, you you need to match it up with either the size of your upper intercooler pipe for blow thru or you'll need to size it up with your intake pipe off the turbo.

3'' or 3 1/2" or 3 5/8" because I have 3" UICP I chose the 3" MAF

here's the MAF

now you'll need the MAF Translator:

This is super easy to install. Now all you need to decide is where to put it. Get an upper intercooler pipe for your application, maybe you have the stock side mount intercooler, maybe a front mount, abs or non abs. Depending on what you have, get the right upper ic pipe.

Also, the MAF Translator will allow you to compensate for bigger fuel injectors allowing you to tune your car just the same as an SAFC. So... if you get an SAFC, you'll kind of be buying 2 of the same thing, except the MAFT will allow you to vent to atmosphere as well.

Actually his only choice IS blow through. If he put it in draw through, itd be the same as venting the stock BOV on a stock MAS because of its position in the intake tract.

the Tial bov does not recirculate back into the intake so your only option is blow thru.
